Lyre

Handmade Cretan lyres. The Cretan lyre is a three-stringed, arched, pear-shaped musical instrument, which owns the first place in the traditional music of Crete and other Aegean and Dodecanese islands (Dodecanese lyre). It is considered the most popular variant of the Byzantine lyre used today.
