Oud

The oud is a stringed musical instrument, which was given as a gift by the Turks in Persia and it is quite popular in the music of the Middle East and in Greek traditional music. It is related to the lute. It is a purely solo instrument, ideal for improvisations and accompaniment of a song. Its speaker has a large pear shape, short and wide arm without frets.
