DESCRIPTION

Body

The body of the saxophones are brass on all models apart from the JP045R, which is made of rose brass to add depth and warmth to the sound.

Features

The 045 is designed to be a workhorse of a saxophone – reliable and solid, yet with the ability to really sing for the player. Being comfortable with the instrument is paramount, so it comes with an adjustable thumbrest and blue steel needle springs, which are such good quality, they don’t rust and so hold their tension – keeping that positive ‘feel’ for longer.

The floating plate design on the left hand little finger cluster aids fast movement from one note to another and a front F natural key and high F sharp comes in handy. For those that find themselves marching, a lyre box is a handy feature. Professional musicians don’t have time for lengthy and expensive services on their instruments so we’ve done all we can to make the instrument reliable. The saxophone has pads made in Italian leather, which are high quality and waterproof. The bell is clamped, and the G sharp/Bb and F/F sharp adjustment arms are independent, all adding to the strength, rigidity and reliability of the instrument.

The saxophone has adjustable back stops which make adjustments much easier and reduce servicing time. It also has underslung octave mechanism and a double spine on the bottom B and C keys. The saxophone itself is fully ribbed; not only for strength - the slight weight increase in this design actually adds depth to the voice of the instrument. The sound capability of our range

of saxophones has been the secret to their success. We wouldn’t have the professional musicians playing the saxophones if they didn’t sound as good as they look. Metal boosters/reflectors increase the resonance and beautiful engraving and abalone style ‘pearls’ make the saxophone a feast for the eyes, not just the ears.

Accessories and maintenance

The saxophone is supplied with a free blowing mouthpiece, although many players will customise their instrument with their own choice. It also has a protective cap, durable ligature and Rico reed. A pull-through, sling, and cork grease are also supplied.

Case

The case is lightweight and strong and has backpack straps, shoulder straps and carrying handles for maximum convenience and security. There is an internal accessory section and external pocket for sheet music.
