    Oesten Theodor - 25 Easy Pieces Op. 61 BK / CD / MP3

    Theodor Oesten (1813-1870)
German pianist, composer and orchestrator. He was born and died in Berlin. He was a performer of many instruments and a piano teacher. He is said to have learned to play the piano from a teacher at school and that he studied clarinet with Tanne and string instruments with Politzki, a musician of the city of Furstenwald.

After he had already composed a large number of dance pieces, he studied composition with Bohmer privately and took lessons from W. A. Bach, Schneider and Rubenhagen at the Royal Academy of Arts in Berlin. Abandoning the style of his teachers, he foced to the preferences of the public, resulting in his light and lively compositions enjoying special popularity.
His works include symphonies, fugues, quartets, liturgies, motets and transcriptions from famous operas. Despite their lightness, they are still often played today.

    Includes CD for easy practice.
